About Bishop Rodgers

Dr. Rodgers is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Hope Community Church, a biblically based equipping fellowship located in Huntsville, Alabama. Hope Ministries was born out of his submission to answer the call of God. Dr. Rodgers left employment and friends based on a word from God and moved to Huntsville, Alabama; began ministering to passing motorist and anyone, anywhere he could find an audience. With no previous knowledge of the area, Dr. Rodgers created opportunities to share the message of the Gospel to anyone who would listen. This was the genesis of the Hope Community Church and from the first meetings attended by only six people, the church began to grow and lives began to change.

In addition to being the Lead Executive Officer of the Greater Hope Ministerial Alliance of Churches, Inc., Dr. Rodgers has served as Honorary Chairman, Business Advisory Council on the National Congressional Committee; serves on the Executive Board and Vice President of the Greater Huntsville Interdenominational Fellowship; and Adjunct Professor at Birmingham Theological Seminary, Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Rodgers is an admired leader within the North Alabama Community and respected throughout the country as well as by community leaders.

Dr. Rodgers believes that an important part of successful leadership is characterized by effective administration. He holds undergraduate degrees from Merced College in California and Indiana University in Indiana. Additionally, he holds a Master of Education (M.Ed) from Alabama A&M University, a Master of Art in Religious Education (M.A.R.E.) and a Doctors of Ministry in Pastoral Leadership (DMin) from Birmingham Theological Seminary.

Dr. Rodgers has served for over 33 years in ministry and has served over 20 years in the Huntsville Community. He has effectively coached, mentored, and advised many developing ministries throughout the United States.
